Ok, so I put my designer spin on this popular quote, but it is a great quote that applies not just to your ambitions and goals in life, but also to your home.
So imagine with me for a moment that it is the year 2027 and you are looking back; reflecting on how you lived your life, and possibly pondering what you could have done differently. Is living your best life in your home even a consideration?
It happens to the best of us, we work hard to achieve our versions of success. We even play hard, taking the dream vacation every so often. But often, the way we live in our homes doesn’t even make the list. A well designed home is usually considered much less important. It is usually not a priority and is forgotten over time.
People typically tend to settle for the way they live in their homes. They put up with clutter, impractical and uncomfortable furniture, the wrong color, bad lighting, outdated kitchens and bathrooms, and a multitude of other things that could be fixed simply by engaging a design team like ours
As an Interior Designer, I have witnessed first hand the difference between having a well designed home, and one that is disorganized and not well put together.
A well designed home that is beautiful, functional, comfortable, and one that represents your style and filled with the things you hold dear, has the power to reduce stress, and improve your quality of life.
This is where the help of a professional Designer is invaluable. A great Designer can help you choose the right colors that will set the right mood in your home. They can help you with the best layout for proper flow, balance, and harmony. We are also great at helping you create a collected feel, where mixing items you already own with newer pieces, make for a beautiful and dynamic design that is unique to you.
10 years from now, you should look back and be thankful that you made this necessary decision to improve your home and therefore live your best life in your home
I had the pleasure of working with a young couple recently. We just finished up the living room and breakfast room and will be getting started on the foyer very soon. These are pictures of the day we did photography. Real pictures to come soon, so stay tuned.
This couple understood the importance of creating a space that represents them and the way they want to live. They wanted to be able to entertain friends and family, be able to relax after long days at work, and a comfortable space to play with their young son. They had worked with an interior designer before me – doing their master bedroom first. Their plan is to work on one room at a time over the next few years, and I am happy to be a part of their goal to creating a beautiful home where they can live their best life.
I know personally that they both have very demanding careers, and are raising a toddler, so having a relaxing space is essential to them. I was sure to keep the color scheme neutral with a bit of color scattered around the room. I included lots of storage for toys, and surfaces that are easily cleaned for life’s little messes. But I also kept it sexy and modern
If 10 years from now you want to look back at the way you lived in your home without regrets, you can get started on a design project today. Creating a beautiful, functional and comfortable space in your home does not have to cost a lot of money. It doesn’t have to be just a dream. It is more achievable than people think. It is best to work with an expert team like ours for best results.
